SparkFun Venus638FLPx GPS Logger with SMA Connector

The SparkFun Venus638FLPx GPS Logger is a high-performance positioning module featuring rapid 20Hz update capability and onboard 32M flash memory for standalone data logging. Equipped with an SMA antenna connector and high-sensitivity navigation, it is an ideal tracking solution for makers, hobbyists, and robotics students.

High-speed tracking and sensitivity

The Venus638FLPx delivers fast positioning with configurable update rates up to 20Hz and a tracking sensitivity of -165dBm. It features 2.5m accuracy, SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS) support, and built-in multipath and jamming detection.

Onboard logging and communication

Equipped with 32M serial flash memory, the board supports standalone SPI data logging. It communicates using standard NMEA-0183 or SkyTraq Binary protocols at a default baud rate of 9600bps, adjustable up to 115200bps.

Power and connectivity

The board operates efficiently at 29mA (67mW during navigation) and can be powered with a 3.3V regulated supply or a 3.5V to 12V source via the JST connector, including 3.7V LiPo batteries. It connects directly to active or passive antennas via its SMA interface.
