SparkFun Simblee BLE Breakout Board RFD77101

The SparkFun Simblee BLE Breakout is a programmable Bluetooth Low Energy development board powered by the RFD77101 module and an ARM Cortex M0 processor. It enables you to create smartphone-connected projects directly in the Arduino environment without needing dedicated mobile app development skills. Small and breadboard-friendly, it is ideal for students, makers, and engineers designing wireless prototypes.

Seamless mobile integration

Simblee lets you create both the embedded device functionality and the mobile user interface entirely within the Arduino IDE. The interface uploads directly to a phone browser app over Bluetooth Low Energy, removing the need for separate app store development.

Onboard features and breakout design

The board features an integrated antenna, 16 MHz and 32 kHz crystals, a user-accessible push button, a user LED, and a reset button. Its pinout provides full access to all Simblee pins and offers compatibility with RFDuino and Simblee shields.

Power and programming

An onboard low-current voltage regulator ensures low power consumption for battery-sensitive applications. For flashing code, the board includes a standard 6-pin FTDI programming header designed for use with a 5V FTDI Basic or LilyPad FTDI Basic.
