JDY-23 Bluetooth 5.0 BLE Wireless Module, 1.8V–3.6V

The JDY-23 is a compact Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 module designed for low-power wireless serial communication between 1.8V and 3.6V. Operating in slave mode via a standard UART interface, it provides reliable data transmission up to 60 metres. It is well suited to students, makers, and hobbyists building wireless telemetry and remote control projects.

Low-power BLE connectivity

The module uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology and remains backward compatible with BLE 4.0 and BLE 4.2 standards. It functions as a slave device with a built-in PCB antenna offering an operating range of up to 60 metres.

UART serial interface

It connects directly to host microcontrollers using a standard UART serial interface. Instruction and configuration parameters are automatically saved across power-down states.

Energy-efficient operating modes

With an operating voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V, the board consumes 800uA in broadcast awake state, less than 50uA in light sleep broadcast, and only 9uA in deep sleep mode. Peak RF transmit and receive current is rated at 5mA.

Compact surface-mount profile

Measuring 19.6 mm by 14.94 mm with a 1.8 mm profile, the module easily fits space-constrained designs. It is rated for SMT soldering temperatures below 260 degrees Celsius.
