RS232 to RS485 and RS422 Serial Converter with Terminal Board

This serial converter enables communication between RS232 equipment and long-range RS485 or RS422 networks. Extended transmission range

The module converts standard RS232 signals with a maximum reach of 5 metres into RS422 and RS485 differential signals capable of reaching up to 1200 metres. This makes it suitable for reliable long-distance data transmission in learning and prototyping environments.

Versatile connection options

It features a DB9 female connector on the RS232 side and a DB9 male connector on the RS485/RS422 side. An included screw-terminal board plugs directly into the DB9 male port for easy connection of bare wires.

Broad communication support

Supporting data transmission rates between 300 and 115,200bps, the converter operates in asynchronous, duplex, and differential transmission modes. It conforms to EIA/TIA RS232C and RS485/RS422 standards.
