The Hiwonder MasterPi is an open-source AI vision robot car powered by Raspberry Pi, featuring a five-degree-of-freedom robotic arm and a Mecanum-wheel chassis. It is designed for students, educators, and hobbyists looking to explore Python programming, OpenCV machine vision, and autonomous driving. This robust kit brings hands-on robotics to life with real-time FPV and intelligent colour-sorting capabilities.
Five-axis robotic arm with HD camera
The chassis is equipped with a five-degree-of-freedom robotic arm capable of grabbing and carrying target objects. An HD wide-angle camera is mounted at the end of the arm, enabling intelligent eye-following operations.

Omnidirectional Mecanum wheel chassis
Four omnidirectional Mecanum wheels allow the robot to move 360 degrees, including sideways, diagonally, and rotational movements. This versatile chassis enables the vehicle to navigate complex routes with ease.

OpenCV machine vision and FPV
Utilising OpenCV for advanced image processing, the robot uses its real-time First Person View to locate and identify target blocks. This enables autonomous tasks such as colour sorting, colour recognition, and line following.

Graphical PC software control
The included graphical PC software allows users to control the rotation of the servos by dragging sliders without writing code. It also provides an interface to edit and configure custom robot action groups.
