Description
The High-torque 5-DOF ESP32 Desktop Robotic Arm Kit is a versatile, carbon-fibre and aluminium robotic arm designed for advanced learning and development. Powered by an ESP32-WROOM-32 module, it is ideal for students, educators, and makers looking to explore ROS 2, wireless control, and coordinate-based motion planning.
Lightweight and high-strength construction
Built for durability and agility, the robotic arm features a high-strength stainless steel gripper, lightweight carbon fibre arms, and a robust aluminium body. This combination ensures precise movement while maintaining structural integrity during operation.

ESP32 main control module
At the heart of the kit is the ESP32-WROOM-32 module, supporting 2.4G WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and ESP-NOW wireless communication. This onboard controller handles complex kinematics and wireless communications without requiring an external computer.

High-torque serial bus servos
The arm features five degrees of freedom, including the clamping action of the gripper, driven by serial bus servos. Users can toggle the servo torque lock on or off, allowing the arm to be positioned manually by hand for direct teaching.

Versatile motion control methods
The system supports both angle and coordinate control modes out of the box, alongside motion recording and playback. With ESP-NOW support, you can also set up a leading-following mode to mirror movements between two arms.

Multi-platform host computer support
The robotic arm connects to a Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, or PC via a Type-C USB cable. It comes with a cross-platform Web application and a ROS 2 demo, making it an excellent platform for advanced robotics research.

Rich onboard hardware resources
The mainboard is equipped with an OLED screen for real-time status updates, an RGB LED, and dedicated serial bus servo control circuits. It also includes a 12V DC power jack, a Type-C port for programming, and an RGB LED expansion port.
