Dagu Micro Magician V2 Robot Controller Board

The Dagu Micro Magician V2 is an ultra-compact, all-in-one controller board designed for small robotics projects. Powered by an ATmega328P processor and fully compatible with the Arduino IDE, it integrates dual motor drivers, an accelerometer, and an infrared receiver in less than half the size of a standard Arduino. It is an excellent choice for learners, hobbyists, and makers building mobile robots or robotic arms.

Integrated motor drive and motion sensing

The board features a built-in dual FET H-bridge with electronic braking, motor stall detection, and current limiting. It also includes an onboard 3-axis accelerometer with 0G detection and selectable ranges of ±1.5G and ±6G.

Power management and circuit protection

Accepting an input voltage from 3.6V to 9V, the controller includes built-in +5V (1A) and +3.3V (500mA) LDO regulators. Comprehensive reverse polarity protection is rated at 6A for servos and motor driver circuits, and 3A for logic and 3.3V devices.

Flexible connections and expansion

The board provides 8 digital I/O pins with 3-pin headers and selectable voltage for driving servos, alongside 3-pin analogue inputs with 3.3V power rails. It also includes a 4-pin female communication header for 3.3V wireless modules such as Xbee or Bluetooth, an ISP programming header, and an onboard CP2102 USB interface.

Software and development support

Code can be loaded via USB or ISP using standard Arduino IDE board profiles. A supporting software library provides functions for motor control, IR decoding using the Sony protocol, and angle and impact detection.
