Description
The Hiwonder ArmPi mini is a 5DOF vision-guided robotic arm powered by Raspberry Pi, designed specifically for AI and machine learning enthusiasts. It offers an accessible entry point for students, educators, and hobbyists looking to explore machine vision, Python programming, and automated sorting. With its high-performance servos and wide-angle HD camera, this compact platform is ideal for hands-on STEAM education and prototyping.
Embodied AI prototyping platform
The ArmPi mini serves as a compact, user-friendly platform for exploring embodied AI and machine learning. It supports Python programming, allowing students and makers to easily customise vision-guided recognition and automated sorting workflows.

AI vision and target tracking
Equipped with a 170-degree wide-angle camera and powered by OpenCV, the robotic arm performs colour recognition, sorting, and target tracking. These capabilities allow users to implement intelligent palletising and advanced machine vision projects.

Durable aluminium alloy bracket
The arm's structure is crafted from lightweight, high-strength aluminium alloy to ensure stability and precision during complex movements. This durable build quality makes it ideal for repetitive automation tasks and rigorous classroom use.

High-performance intelligent servos
The base features a full-metal, high-torque servo with a metal servo horn for maximum rotational force. The end effector utilises a micro anti-blocking servo to ensure high accuracy, long service life, and reliable gripping.

Wide-angle HD camera
The integrated HD camera features a 170-degree wide-angle lens with a dual-axis rotation of 180 degrees horizontally and vertically. This expansive field of view provides complete visual coverage for precise object recognition and tracking.

Raspberry Pi controller support
The robotic arm is compatible with Raspberry Pi 5 or 4B controllers, providing the processing power needed for advanced motion control. This hardware foundation enables seamless integration with Python and OpenCV libraries.

Inverse kinematics and first-person view
Users can explore inverse kinematics for precise spatial positioning and coordinate calculation. The system also supports first-person view streaming for real-time visual feedback during manual or automated operations.
