The Hiwonder HTS-16L is an intelligent serial bus servo designed specifically for robotic joint and gripper claw applications. Featuring advanced anti-blocking protection and real-time telemetry, it is ideal for South African makers, educators, and hobbyists building robust smart robots.
Smart anti-blocking protection
The servo features an internal controller chip with a built-in anti-blocking algorithm. This prevents the motor from burning out during physical stalls or unexpected collisions, significantly extending its operational lifespan.

High-temperature resistant motor
Equipped with a high-temperature-resistant motor, this servo ensures safe and reliable operation in demanding environments. This thermal resilience prevents premature aging and burnout under heavy workloads.

Single-bus serial communication
Multiple servos can be daisy-chained on a single bus communicating at a baud rate of 115200. Each servo has a customisable ID, which is set to 1 by default, simplifying complex robotic wiring.

Dual operating modes
In servo mode, the unit provides precise positioning and rotation within a 240-degree range. Switching to geared motor mode allows for continuous 360-degree rotation with full control over speed and direction.

Precise angle readback
With integrated angle feedback, the bus servo allows controllers to quickly read the current position. This enables precise joint positioning and motion capture for robotic arms and grippers.

Voltage and temperature telemetry
Real-time temperature and voltage feedback parameters are transmitted back to the controller. This continuous monitoring helps users safeguard their robotic systems against over-voltage or overheating.

Durable stainless steel gears
The internal gear train is constructed from stainless steel to enhance wear resistance. This robust metal construction ensures a long service life under high-torque conditions.

Shared physical form factor
The HTS-16L shares the same physical dimensions, structure, and anti-blocking algorithms as the HTS-21H model. The primary difference between the two models lies in their operating voltage specifications.
