The Dagu RS022 Miniature Magnetic Servo Clutch attaches directly to your micro servo to safeguard its internal gears from breaking under excessive force. By utilising neodymium magnets and low-friction glassine discs, it slips smoothly under overload and can be configured to auto-relock. It is an ideal mechanical protection upgrade for students, hobbyists, and roboticists building articulated arms or rovers.

Servo gear protection

This clutch mounts onto your servo just like a traditional horn but slips safely when excessive load is applied to protect the geartrain. It delivers a typical holding torque of 850g/cm in its standard setup.

Configurable magnetic operating modes

The eight included neodymium magnets can be arranged for attractive hard locking or repulsive soft locking. This enables Standard Servo Mode with 180-degree relocking, Continuous Rotation Hard Lock every 90 degrees, or Continuous Rotation Soft Lock for spring-damped terrain traversal.

Compatibility and construction

The set features two distinct drive plates sized for 8g and 9g servo splines, three varied mounting plate shapes, and glassine low-friction discs paired with brass sleeves for smooth rotation.
