Description
The Waveshare USB to UART Debugger Module is a dedicated serial communication and debugging tool built around the CH343 chip for Raspberry Pi 5. It enables reliable serial console communication with selectable 3.3V and 5V logic levels through a standard USB Type-A port. It is an ideal addition to any maker, student, or developer toolkit for system monitoring, firmware debugging, and hardware development.
High-speed serial debugging
Powered by the CH343 controller, this module supports a wide communication range from 50bps up to 6Mbps. It provides fast and responsive serial terminal access for Raspberry Pi 5 communication and troubleshooting.
Integrated circuit protection
Onboard self-recovery fuses, Transient Voltage Suppressors, and IO protection diodes safeguard against overcurrent, overvoltage, surges, and ESD. These protection features maintain stable data transmission and keep connected hardware safe.
Flexible voltage and connectivity
The module includes onboard switch pins to select between 3.3V and 5V TTL communication levels and power output. Connections are made simple with a 6-pin right-angle pinheader and a 3-pin connector on a durable black immersion gold PCB.
Multi-platform OS support
Designed for broad compatibility, the module operates smoothly across Mac, Linux, Android, and Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 operating systems.
