Waveshare CP2102 USB-C to UART TTL Communication Module

The Waveshare CP2102 USB-C to UART Board is a compact serial communication module designed for microcontrollers and embedded development. It provides reliable full-speed USB to TTL serial data transfer with switchable 3.3V and 5V power output. This module is ideal for students, makers, and educators connecting development boards, uploading code, or debugging serial communications.

Features and protection

The module features an integrated SP0503 USB protection circuit alongside an on-chip power-on reset and internal voltage regulator. Three onboard LED indicators clearly display power status as well as active TXD and RXD data transmission.

Hardware interfacing

Core serial signals including TXD, RXD, RTS, and CTS are readily accessible on standard pinheaders. All remaining CP2102 pins are broken out to prototype-friendly drilled holes with universal pitch for easy expansion.

Performance and driver support

Compliant with USB 2.0 full-speed specifications at 12 Mbps, the module supports configurable baud rates ranging from 300 bps to 1 Mbps. It works across a wide range of operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and WinCE.
