Description
The Raspberry Pi CM4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini Kit turns your Compute Module 4 into a high-performance, compact dual-gigabit router and gateway. Supplied with an aluminium cooling enclosure, EU standard 5V 3A power supply, and USB-C cable, it is an ideal solution for hobbyists, network tinkerers, and IoT engineers.
Dual gigabit PCIe networking
The board pairs the CM4 built-in Ethernet controller with a dedicated PCIe 1000BASE-T network card. This dual-port hardware architecture delivers lower CPU overhead and stable full-speed gigabit performance compared to standard USB Ethernet adapters.
Peripheral and GPIO expansion
A 26-pin Raspberry Pi-compatible GPIO header allows for simple integration with external sensors, actuators, and cooling fans. The onboard USB 2.0 Type-C interface easily connects to external storage drives, printers, Wi-Fi add-ons, or LTE modules.

OpenWrt and Linux OS support
The board offers ready-to-run support for the OpenWrt open-source router operating system for quick gateway configuration. It also operates seamlessly with Raspberry Pi OS and Ubuntu Server to power home IoT servers and mini-NAS projects.
Included metal case and power
This bundle contains a protective metal cooling case with an integrated heatsink to keep operating temperatures stable between 0°C and 80°C. A 5V 3A EU standard USB power supply and a USB 3.0 to Type-C cable are also included in the box.
Compact form factor and storage
With a footprint of just 55 by 62 mm, this carrier board fits into space-constrained smart home and networking enclosures. An onboard microSD card slot provides reliable operating system storage for non-eMMC CM4 modules.

CM4 socket installation guidelines
The CM4 high-density connector socket is delicate and requires precise visual alignment prior to being pressed into place. Ensure correct module orientation before applying power, and avoid repeated insertions and removals.
