Description

The Lite Carrier Board transforms the LattePanda Mu compute module into a functional single board computer in a compact form factor. It exposes critical high-speed interfaces such as PCIe 3.0, dual M.2 slots, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.2 for rapid testing and deployment. It is ideal for makers, students, and embedded system engineers prototyping custom computing solutions.

Standard 3.5-inch embedded form factor

Built to standard 3.5-inch embedded motherboard dimensions measuring 146mm by 102mm, this baseboard integrates easily into industrial enclosures and hardware projects. It comes complete with an acrylic baseplate, RTC battery, and mounting hardware for immediate benchtop development.

Comprehensive peripheral and video connectivity

The board features dual 10Gbps USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and HDMI 2.0 output capable of driving 4K displays. Internal headers include Gravity 4-pin UART and I2C ports, a CPU fan connector, and an MX1.25 port for a LattePanda UPS expansion board.

PCIe and dual M.2 expansion

Hardware expansion includes a standard PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, an M.2 M-key 2230 slot for SSD storage, and an M.2 E-key 2230 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards. The PCIe slot operates when the board is powered by a 12V supply.

Flexible wide-voltage power input

The carrier board supports a wide 12V to 20V DC input via a 5.5x2.5mm barrel jack, allowing direct connection to 4S lithium battery packs without extra regulators. It can also be powered via a 15V USB Type-C port and includes automatic power-on support.

Open-source reference hardware design

Schematic and PCB design files are openly available to use as a baseline for custom hardware projects. This allows engineers and developers to test prototypes quickly and refine their own application-specific carrier boards with minimal development overhead.
