The ITEAD Raspberry Pi to SIM900 Adapter Kit allows you to easily connect a SIM900 module directly to your Raspberry Pi board. It provides essential cellular connectivity features including SMS messaging, voice call management, and GPRS wireless data communication. This adapter is well suited to students, hobbyists, and makers developing remote cellular IoT projects.
Cellular communication capabilities
This adapter plate kit extends GSM and GPRS functionality to the Raspberry Pi. It enables applications to handle SMS text message sending and receiving, phone call dialling and answering, and wireless GPRS data transfers.
Hardware interfacing and pinout
The adapter routes the SIM900 module signals directly to the Raspberry Pi header. It maps power, ground, serial UART communication lines, reset, and power key connections to designated GPIO pins.
