The iFLYTEK Far-Field Microphone Array Module is a high-performance six-microphone voice board designed for advanced sound source localisation, offline voice recognition, and speech synthesis. It is an ideal solution for ROS developers, robotics hobbyists, and smart home innovators looking to integrate precise voice interaction and navigation into their projects.
Versatile voice interaction applications
This module supports sound source localisation with a 1-degree resolution, semantic analysis, and text-to-speech synthesis. It is highly suited for developing voice-controlled robots, smart home systems, directional meeting recorders, and real-time translation devices.

Modular split-board design
The updated design separates the microphone array from the mainboard, allowing users to easily connect other linear microphone arrays. This modular layout also helps extend the module's effective audio pickup range up to 10 metres.

Optional protective casing
An optional protective casing is available to shield the hardware and provide a clean, finished appearance when mounting the microphone array onto your robot.

Far-field noise reduction
Utilising iFLYTEK's advanced far-field noise reduction technology, this board achieves an expansive 10-metre pickup range. This represents a significant performance increase over the first-generation ring microphone array.

Precise sound source localisation
The array uses the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) algorithm to calculate the exact angle of an incoming voice across a full 360-degree range. It delivers highly accurate speaker direction data with an azimuth resolution of up to 1 degree.

Offline voice recognition engine
The board features the built-in iFLYTEK offline voice recognition engine, enabling local voice control capabilities without requiring an active internet connection.

Cloud service integration
For advanced features like voiceprint recognition and pronunciation correction, the module can be integrated with the iFLYTEK voice cloud service. Please note that user registration is required to access these cloud-based tools.

Text to speech synthesis
The module supports Text to Speech (TTS) capabilities, allowing your robotic projects to broadcast speech and communicate audibly with users.

Integrated echo cancellation
Built-in echo cancellation technology ensures clean audio capture by filtering out playback sound, making it easier for the microphones to detect voice commands during broadcast.
