Dual-protocol Zigbee and Thread support

The adapter operates over 2.4GHz to manage both Zigbee and Thread networks. This provides compatibility with existing Zigbee peripherals while future-proofing your system for Matter-enabled Thread devices.

High-power wireless coverage

Equipped with an optimised PCB antenna and up to +20dBm transmission power, the EFR32MG21 radio provides robust wireless reach. This extended range minimises dropouts and maintains responsive communication across your mesh network.

Seamless Home Assistant integration

When connected to a Raspberry Pi or Linux host running Home Assistant, the adapter is automatically detected for immediate setup. It also supports over-the-wire (OTW) firmware updates directly through USB.

Interference-free USB extension cable

An included USB extension cable separates the adapter from host USB 3.0 ports to prevent 2.4GHz radio frequency interference. This ensures reliable pairing and stable device connectivity.

Compact and low-power hardware design

Weighing only 4g and measuring 18mm by 4.5mm by 38.5mm, the unit utilises a Silicon Labs CP2102N USB-to-UART bridge over USB 2.0 full-speed. It runs efficiently on a 5V DC supply, drawing up to 150mA.
