Description
The Gravity Serial Data Logger V2.0 is a compact data recording module featuring 128MB of onboard flash memory and direct USB connectivity. It allows microcontrollers to log serial data automatically without requiring external microSD cards or complex storage libraries. It is ideally suited for students, hobbyists, and engineers carrying out offline sensor monitoring, robotics diagnostics, or embedded debugging.
Board layout and controls
The module integrates 128MB of onboard flash storage alongside a dedicated SAVE key to separate data logs into distinct files. A built-in LED indicator provides clear visual confirmation of active data writing.
Simple microcontroller connection
The logger interfaces over UART using the included Gravity-4P cable and operates across a 3.3V to 5V supply range. It supports direct serial data printing across multiple baud rates without additional programming libraries.
Direct USB computer access
An onboard USB 2.0 port lets you plug the logger straight into a PC to view and transfer recorded files. This removes the need for external microSD cards and dedicated card readers.
Flexible file formatting and scheduling
The upgraded V2.0 firmware supports saving data in both TXT and CSV formats for straightforward data analysis. It also provides scheduled file creation along with significantly improved startup speed and runtime stability.
Low-power field logging
Drawing only 10mA of operating current, this module is well suited for battery-powered environmental recording, drone telemetry, and system debugging. The package includes the logger board, a 2.54mm 10-pin header, and a Gravity-4P UART cable.
