Description
The Gravity: LoRaWAN Node Module (EU868) is a low-power, long-range wireless communication module powered by the Semtech SX1262 RF transceiver. Operating on the 868 MHz band with up to 4 km of range, it supports both LoRa point-to-point and LoRaWAN network architectures. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers building remote sensor nodes for smart agriculture and environmental monitoring.
Dual LoRa and LoRaWAN modes
The module switches seamlessly between point-to-point LoRa communication and standard LoRaWAN networking. In LoRaWAN mode, it supports Class A and Class C operation and connects to platforms like The Things Network (TTN) and ChirpStack via OTAA or ABP activation.
Long-range SX1262 wireless performance
Equipped with an onboard PCB antenna, the SX1262 chip provides a receiver sensitivity of -137 dBm and up to +16 dBm transmit power. It delivers reliable coverage spanning up to 1.2 km in urban areas and up to 4 km in open outdoor terrain.
Modular LPWAN ecosystem integration
Designed as part of a modular low-power wide-area network family, the node operates alongside dedicated gateways, control terminals, and development boards for comprehensive IoT deployments.

Broad controller and software compatibility
An onboard protocol stack removes the need for low-level protocol development, offering plug-and-play operation with Arduino IDE, Mind+, and MakeCode. The standard PH2.0-4P connector supports I2C and UART communication with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers, including micro:bit, Arduino, and ESP32.
Low-power environmental and agricultural monitoring
Ultra-low power LoRa modulation makes this module well suited for long-term battery-powered field installations. Key applications include greenhouse telemetry, soil moisture sensing, weather station monitoring, and classroom wireless networking projects.
