Description
The Gravity: Air780E 4G IoT CAT1 Communication Module provides cellular connectivity across China, India, and Southeast Asia. Supporting standard AT commands, plug-and-play USB networking, and ultra-low sleep current, it is an ideal telemetry solution for makers, educators, and engineers working with microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, or LattePanda single board computers.
Regional 4G CAT1 connectivity
Operating across LTE-FDD bands B1/B3/B5/B8 and LTE-TDD bands B34/B38/B39/B40/B41, the module delivers downlink speeds up to 10Mbps and uplink speeds up to 5Mbps. These data rates provide stable, responsive connectivity for remote telemetry, environmental monitoring, and interactive IoT devices.
Driver-free USB network card
The onboard Type-C port provides driver-free USB network card functionality on PC, Raspberry Pi, and LattePanda platforms. This allows single board computers to establish direct 4G internet connections quickly without manual driver configuration.

Integrated network protocols and serial control
The module features built-in support for TCP, UDP, PPP, HTTP, HTTPS, MQTT, NITZ, NDIS, and NTP protocols. It uses a standard UART Gravity PH2.0-4P interface with AT commands and 3.3V/5V logic compatibility, simplifying communication with microcontrollers.

Optimised low-power sleep modes
Current draw drops to 0.6mA in sleep mode, with support for UART serial data wake-up and periodic interrupt wake-up. Reporting data every 5 minutes on a 500mA battery allows operation for up to 26 days in PRO mode and 36 days in STD mode.
Robust hardware and power options
The compact 42mm by 37mm board includes a Nano SIM slot and an SMA female connector with an included 4G elbow stick antenna. For power, developers can use the 5V Type-C port for testing or the 5V to 12V terminal block for reliable long-term field installations.
