GPS Module with Enclosure

The GPS Module with Enclosure is a compact satellite positioning receiver integrating a GPS module and antenna into a protective housing. Designed for Arduino microcontrollers and DIY electronics, it provides precise geographic coordinates, speed, heading, altitude, and GMT time data. It is well suited for hobbyists, students, and makers building vehicle trackers, speedometers, and outdoor robotics projects.

High-sensitivity 56-channel positioning

Powered by the UBX-G7020-KT chipset, this 56-channel receiver achieves -161dBm sensitivity with 2.5m autonomous positioning accuracy. It offers swift time-to-first-fix performance, delivering a 1-second hot start and a 29-second cold start.

Configurable 1Hz to 10Hz update rate

While standard GPS receivers refresh at 1Hz, this module supports update rates from 1Hz up to 10Hz. The shorter data interval allows for responsive tracking on dynamic, fast-moving vehicle applications.

Flexible TTL serial communication

The module interfaces via standard TTL serial running at a default 9600bps, with selectable speeds from 4800bps up to 921600bps. It operates efficiently on 3.3V to 5V power at an operating current of 30mA.

Compact enclosed housing

Measuring 37x48x16mm in its protective outer shell, the unit shields the internal 28x28x8.6mm board and integrated antenna from environmental wear. An onboard LED indicator provides visual operational feedback during use.

Straightforward Arduino integration

The unit connects using colour-coded leads for power, ground, serial TX/RX, enable, and PPS timing output. It works directly with the TinyGPS library on Arduino to extract clean navigation telemetry.
