Fermion: BLE Sensor Beacon Pack (5PCS)

The Fermion BLE Sensor Beacon 5-pack provides a streamlined way to convert standard 3.3V sensors into standalone wireless broadcasting nodes without requiring dedicated microcontrollers at each measuring point. It is ideally suited for students, makers, and IoT developers building distributed data collection networks for environmental monitoring, smart agriculture, and automation projects.

Wireless sensor data broadcasting

Each beacon collects and broadcasts sensor measurements over 2.4 GHz BLE without requiring a Bluetooth pairing connection. Nearby scanning devices, such as ESP32 microcontrollers or smartphones, can directly capture the incoming sensor telemetry within broadcast range.

Analogue, digital, and I2C sensor support

Featuring an integrated 11-bit ADC and multiplexed I/O pins supporting I2C (SDA/SCL), each module can simultaneously interface with one digital or analogue sensor plus one I2C sensor. This makes upgrading 3.3V breakout boards into wireless nodes straightforward and compact.

Ultra-low power sleep consumption

Consuming just 650 nA in sleep mode and under 10 mA during operation, each beacon can operate for extended periods from a standard CR2032 coin cell. Dynamic sensor power management and configurable broadcast timing ensure optimal battery longevity for remote deployments.

Customisable broadcast protocols

The beacons support standard iBeacon and Eddystone formats along with user-defined broadcast payloads. Parameters such as transmission power, broadcast intervals, and trigger conditions can be configured through PC software using a 3.3V USB-to-TTL adapter.

Multi-node IoT deployment pack

This pack includes five beacon boards and ten 8-pin headers, providing the hardware needed for multi-point installations across smart farms, warehouses, and offices. Each 35 mm by 42 mm board features an integrated CR2032 battery holder and 2 mm mounting holes for secure fitting.
