Bluetooth 5.0 Audio Receiver Board - Controllable Volume

The Bluetooth 5.0 Audio Receiver Board is a compact audio module designed to upgrade wired speakers and amplifiers into wireless sound systems. Featuring wide voltage support and an onboard control dial, it is ideal for makers, hobbyists, and audio DIY enthusiasts building custom speaker setups.

Integrated multi-function control dial

The module includes a physical dial button to adjust volume by rotating left or right and control playback by pressing to play or pause. It supports auto-reconnect functionality, allowing paired devices to reconnect seamlessly.

Pairing workflow and status indicator

The receiver broadcasts as XY-WRBT and provides audio prompts during power-on and connection states. An onboard blue LED flashes quickly during pairing mode, stays solid once connected, and blinks slowly during music playback.

Flexible power supply range

Operating on an input range of 3.7V to 24V, the board automatically shuts down if the power supply drops below 3.3V. It can be turned back on by recharging the battery and shorting the on/off contacts for two seconds.

Audio decoding and wireless range

Equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, the board is backward compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 through 4.2 and provides a line-of-sight range of up to 15 metres. It decodes WAV, APE, FLAC, and MP3 audio formats within a compact 30 by 44 mm footprint.

Installation and handling precautions

Because the module lacks integrated lithium battery protection, pairing it with an external LiPo charger board is recommended. Handle with electrostatic discharge protection and keep the antenna clear of metal enclosures and radio transmitting equipment.
