Description
This compact Bluetooth 4.2 audio receiver board features an integrated dual 5W amplifier to power stereo speakers directly. Operating on a 3.7V to 5V supply via micro USB or a lithium battery, it provides clear wireless sound with auto-reconnect functionality. It is well suited for makers, students, and hobbyists building custom portable speakers and DIY audio projects.
Integrated dual 5W stereo amplifier
The module includes onboard dual 5W power amplifier circuits capable of driving 2 to 8 Ohm speakers directly, with 4 Ohm 5W speakers recommended. Because amplification is built in, external amplifier boards must not be connected.
Wireless connectivity and audio decoding
Equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, the board offers a transmission range of up to 15 metres in line of sight and supports automatic reconnection. It handles multiple common decoding formats, including WAV, APE, FLAC, and MP3.
Simple pairing and status indication
The board broadcasts under the name XWF-M18-M28-M38 and provides audio prompt cues during pairing. An onboard blue LED flashes rapidly during pairing mode, stays solid when connected, and blinks slowly during playback.
Flexible power supply options
Power can be supplied via a micro USB connection or a 3.7V lithium battery across a 3.7V to 5V operating range. Because the board lacks integrated battery protection, using a dedicated LiPo charger and protection board is recommended.
Handling and wiring precautions
Do not tie the negative speaker terminals together, as common grounding will damage the amplifier chip. Ensure proper electrostatic discharge protection before handling the Bluetooth chip, and keep the antenna clear of metal objects.
