Versatile six-way serial conversion

This module provides six distinct converting functions: USB-TTL, USB-232, USB-485, TTL-232, TTL-485, and 232-485. Powered by the CP2102 controller, it supports communication baud rates of up to 2Mbps across Windows, Linux, WinCE, and Mac operating systems.

USB to TTL mode

Set dial switch 1 to On, dial switch 2 to Off, and switch S1 to Down. This mode interfaces your computer directly with 3.3V or 5V TTL-level microcontrollers and development boards.

USB to RS232 mode

Set dial switch 1 to On, dial switch 2 to Off, and switch S1 to Up. This establishes a direct link between a USB host and standard RS232 serial equipment.

USB to RS485 mode

Set dial switch 1 to On, dial switch 2 to On, and switch S1 to Down. This configuration enables your computer to communicate across differential RS485 industrial buses.

TTL to RS232 mode

Set dial switch 1 to Off, dial switch 2 to Off, and switch S1 to Down. This standalone mode translates between TTL microcontroller logic levels and standard RS232 serial hardware.

TTL to RS485 mode

Set dial switch 1 to Off, dial switch 2 to On, and switch S1 to Down. This setting provides direct protocol bridging between TTL devices and RS485 networks.

RS232 to RS485 mode

Set dial switch 1 to Off, dial switch 2 to On, and switch S1 to Down to convert RS232 signals to RS485. Reliable onboard patch dial switches rated for 100,000 operations ensure durable and stable mode selection.

Circuit protection and status indicators

An integrated 500mA fuse protects connected equipment against damage from short circuits and over-current conditions. Onboard LEDs clearly show operational status, featuring a yellow light for active USB COM port selection, flashing red for RX data, and flashing green for TX data.
