Description
The WHEELTEC ROS2 Research Robot with Robotic Arm is a high-performance development platform designed for advanced robotics research and education. Available in both Mecanum wheel and four-wheel drive configurations, this versatile mobile robot is ideal for university students, educators, and professional developers. It comes fully equipped for LiDAR-based mapping, navigation, and robotic arm manipulation.
Dual chassis configurations
The platform is available in two distinct setups: a four-wheel drive version and a Mecanum wheel version. Both configurations are equipped with an M10P LiDAR and a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm, with the Mecanum version also featuring an integrated 7-inch touchscreen.

Flagship research and education platform
The R680A is designed specifically for academic research and low-cost educational development. It builds on years of chassis engineering and ROS tutorial development to provide a highly practical, cost-effective learning tool.

Comprehensive technical specifications
The detailed specifications table outlines the physical and electrical differences between the Mecanum and four-wheel drive versions. The Mecanum version supports a 15kg payload with a maximum speed of 1.2m/s, while the four-wheel drive version supports a 12kg payload and reaches speeds up to 2.7m/s.

High-precision motor drive system
Both robot models are driven by MD36L 60W brushed DC motors featuring a 1:27 reduction ratio. Precise positioning and feedback are handled by a 500-line giant magnetoresistance AB-phase high-precision encoder.
Long-lasting LiFePO4 power supply
The system is powered by a 24V 6000mAh lithium iron phosphate battery, accompanied by a 3C-certified 25.5V fast charger. This setup delivers approximately 6.5 hours of battery life under no-load conditions, and 5.5 hours when carrying a 3kg payload.
Versatile control interfaces
Developers can interface with the robot using multiple control methods, including CAN, serial ports, USB-to-serial, and a multi-mode smart controller. Wireless control is also supported via a dedicated mobile app over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
