Patented open-source design

The WHEELTEC EC130 features patented design and utility model technology with fully open-source hardware and software. It supports secondary development, allowing makers and researchers to customise the autonomous docking process to suit their specific robotic platforms.

Infrared docking and STM32 control

Docking is achieved using precise infrared signal recognition, pairing an infrared transmitting tube on the dock with a receiving tube on the onboard equipment. The system is driven by an STM32F103C8T6 controller and programmed in C language, ensuring reliable and responsive alignment.

Electrical and physical specifications

The system supports a maximum allowable voltage of 25.55V and a maximum current of 3A. The charging dock measures 192 x 80 x 142 mm and weighs 1.58 kg, while the onboard receiver measures 132 x 34.5 x 100 mm and weighs 0.58 kg, communicating via a CAN interface.

Broad chassis compatibility

This kit is compatible with a wide range of mobile bases. For 12V battery setups, it supports R550 series Mecanum, 4WD, and differential small chassis, while 24V battery setups support R550 PLUS series Mecanum, 4WD, differential, and Ackermann steering large chassis.
