Description
The Waveshare Sense HAT (B) is a multi-functional sensor add-on board designed specifically for Raspberry Pi series boards. It packs a comprehensive suite of onboard sensors including a 9-axis motion tracker, environmental monitors, and a colour sensor over the I2C interface. It is an ideal tool for students, makers, and robotics enthusiasts building navigation, telemetry, or environmental logging projects.
Comprehensive onboard sensor suite
The HAT integrates an ICM20948 9-axis sensor combining a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer to track movement and orientation. For environmental observation, it includes an SHTC3 temperature and humidity sensor alongside an LPS22HB barometric pressure sensor, as well as a TCS34725 sensor for detecting object colour.
Analogue expansion and interfacing
Equipped with an onboard SGM58031 4-channel 16-bit precision ADC, the board allows connection of extra external analogue sensors. It communicates via I2C and breaks out I2C control pins so it can also be interfaced with other host microcontrollers such as STM32.
Broad compatibility and resources
Featuring a standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO extension header, the module fits directly onto Raspberry Pi series boards. It is provided with complete development resources and manuals with working examples for both Raspberry Pi and STM32.
