Waveshare PCIe to M.2 PoE HAT+ (C) for Raspberry Pi 5

The Waveshare PoE M.2 HAT+ (C) is a dual-function expansion board designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5. It integrates Power over Ethernet with a high-speed PCIe to M.2 NVMe SSD interface, allowing you to power your board and access fast storage over a single Ethernet cable. This HAT is an ideal upgrade for makers, educators, and hobbyists building tidy, high-performance Pi 5 projects.

Power over Ethernet support

The board supports the IEEE 802.3af/at PoE network standard with a 37V to 57V DC input range. It uses a planar transformer and fully isolated switch mode power supply (SMPS) to deliver up to 5V 5A across the GPIO header.

High-speed M.2 NVMe storage

Equipped with a PCIe x1 interface running in Gen2 or Gen3 mode, this HAT supports NVMe protocol M.2 solid state drives in 2230 and 2242 sizes. It enables high-speed read/write performance and supports booting your Raspberry Pi 5 directly from an SSD.

Board design and status indicators

Designed with a standard 40-pin GPIO header, this HAT remains compatible with the official Raspberry Pi 5 Active Cooler. Onboard PWR and ACT LEDs provide a clear visual indication of power and drive activity.
