The Metal DC Geared Motor with Encoder is a compact 6V drive unit featuring a durable 34:1 all-metal gearbox and integrated Hall-effect feedback. Delivering up to 10 kg.cm of stall torque at 210 RPM, it is well suited for students, educators, and makers designing precision mobile robot platforms.

Integrated quadrature Hall encoder

The built-in encoder operates at 3.3V or 5V logic and provides 11 counts per motor revolution, yielding 341.2 counts per revolution at the gearbox output for accurate speed and positional tracking.

High-torque metal gearbox

Equipped with a sturdy 34:1 metal gear reduction, the motor achieves a no-load speed of 210 RPM at 6V and can deliver up to 10 kg.cm of stall torque.

Standard D-shaped output shaft

The unit features an 8 mm long, 4 mm diameter D-shaped output shaft, ensuring secure attachment for robot wheels, pulleys, and mechanical couplings.

Electrical performance and efficiency

While rated for nominal 6V operation with a 3.2A stall current, the motor starts spinning at voltages as low as 1V. Peak efficiency is reached at 2.0 kg.cm load, drawing 0.6A at 170 RPM.

Included connection cable

The package includes one metal DC geared motor with integrated encoder and one JST 6-pin wiring harness for straightforward interfacing with your motor driver and microcontroller.
