Seventeen degrees of freedom bipedal movement

Tonybot is equipped with 17 joints powered by high-voltage serial bus servos and anti-blocking servos. This setup provides precise control and excellent stability for complex movements like walking, turning, dancing, and gymnastics.

Dual-controller hardware architecture

A dedicated servo controller drives the movement servos, while an ESP32 expansion board manages external modules. The robot's head features a glowing ultrasonic sensor and supports further sensor expansions to enhance environmental perception.

Colour threshold segmentation algorithm

Using an advanced colour threshold segmentation algorithm, the robot accurately detects and distinguishes various colours. It can be programmed to execute custom physical or vocal responses based on the specific colours it identifies.
