The Hiwonder LanderPi is a composite ROS educational robot car featuring a 6DOF robotic arm, lidar, and a 3D depth camera. Powered by a Raspberry Pi, it integrates multimodal large AI models like ChatGPT for advanced semantic understanding and autonomous SLAM navigation. This versatile platform is perfect for university students, robotics educators, and advanced makers exploring embodied AI.
Versatile ROS educational platform
LanderPi supports Mecanum wheel, Ackerman, and Tank chassis configurations driven by high-torque encoding motors. It integrates a Raspberry Pi, lidar, and a 3D depth camera to facilitate advanced path planning, autonomous driving, and 3D object grabbing.

Six degrees of freedom robotic arm
Equipped with high-torque intelligent bus servos, the 6DOF robotic arm delivers precise control and superior physical performance. This configuration ensures extended operating endurance during complex manipulation and sorting tasks.

Lidar-driven SLAM mapping and navigation
The onboard lidar enables real-time SLAM mapping, path planning, and fixed-point navigation. It allows the robot car to dynamically avoid obstacles and navigate complex environments autonomously.

First-person 3D depth vision
A 3D depth camera is mounted at the end of the 6DOF robotic arm to provide a first-person perspective. This visual input enables precise object recognition, tracking, and targeted grasping.

Intelligent voice interaction box
The LanderPi Advanced Kit includes the WonderEcho Pro AI voice box, featuring advanced noise reduction for clear audio capture. This hardware supports speech recognition, voice broadcast, and direct voice control.

Dual-controller architecture
The robot utilises a dual-controller design to distribute processing tasks efficiently. This architecture ensures smooth, real-time collaboration between high-level AI processing and low-level motor control.

Large AI model integration
By combining a large language model with a vision language model, LanderPi interprets natural voice commands to perform multi-point navigation. Upon arrival, it analyses its surroundings to understand objects and events in real time.
