The Hiwonder JetMax Pro is an advanced AI vision robot arm powered by Jetson Nano, integrated with a mecanum wheel chassis and compatible with an electric sliding rail. Designed for students, educators, and makers, this ROS-compatible platform is perfect for exploring deep learning, industrial automation simulation, and advanced robotics.
AI vision and deep learning
Powered by Jetson Nano, the JetMax Pro combines a robotic arm with a mobile chassis to perform complex AI tasks. It can realise advanced functions such as waste sorting, mask identification, and somatosensory control.

Omni-directional mecanum wheel movement
Equipped with four high-performance encoder geared motors and four mecanum wheels, the robot achieves full 360-degree movement. It can travel forward, horizontally, diagonally, and rotate to navigate complex paths.

App and wireless handle control
Users can control the robot and view a first-person perspective video stream using the WonderAi mobile application. It also supports direct control via a wireless handle without complex configuration.

Vision-based sorting and transferring
The arm-mounted camera acts as the robot's eyes, allowing it to follow lines and recognise AprilTag blocks. Once identified, the robot arm precisely transfers the blocks to designated positions.

MediaPipe fingertip trajectory tracking
Utilising the MediaPipe framework, the JetMax Pro can recognise fingertip movements and execute corresponding tasks. This enables intuitive, hand-gesture-based control of the robotic arm.

PID-driven target tracking
The robot continuously scans its field of view to detect target objects. Once a target is identified, the chassis uses a PID algorithm to smoothly track and follow the object.

Electric sliding rail compatibility
The robot arm's controller communicates via IIC to directly control a stepper motor on an optional sliding rail, expanding its operational range. The system calculates the travel distance to ensure precise transferring, sorting, and stacking.

Simulated industrial sorting workshops
By loading pre-trained models, the robot can identify waste cards or AprilTags and slide along the rail to sort items. This setup provides a realistic simulation of automated industrial sorting and stacking systems.
