Description
The Gravity Magnetic Latching Relay is a bistable switching module that retains its ON or OFF state even after power is disconnected. It switches states using a brief 2ms digital pulse, making it exceptionally energy-efficient and silent. This module is ideal for makers, students, and engineers developing low-power automation, smart metering, and IoT projects.
State retention with zero holding power
Unlike standard relays that must keep their coil energised continuously to stay active, this bistable relay acts as a hardware memory circuit by holding its last position indefinitely. State changes require only a 2ms digital trigger pulse, keeping power dissipation between 2.6mW and 3.65mW.
Silent and low-heat switching
Because current does not constantly flow through the coil, the module operates silently without the typical hum of non-latching relays. It also experiences minimal temperature rise, enhancing component longevity in enclosed electronics.
Broad microcontroller compatibility
Operating across 3.3V to 5V DC power and logic levels, this board connects easily to ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and LattePanda controllers. It includes two 3-pin Gravity interface cables for neat and straightforward wiring.

Robust load switching ratings
Equipped with AgSnO2 contacts, the relay handles loads up to 10A at 36V AC resistive (or 30V DC) and up to 15A for 36V AC incandescent lighting. It features rapid response times with an action speed under 8ms and a reset speed under 5ms.
Versatile home automation applications
With a low static current draw of 0.73mA to 0.8mA and an operating temperature range of -40 deg C to 85 deg C, it is well suited for converting home appliances. Typical uses include smart electricity meters, automated lighting controls, smart sockets, and wall switches.
