Description
The Brushless DC Motor MTO1804 (CCW) with 20A ESC is a lightweight, 2480KV propulsion unit engineered for compact multi-rotor aircraft and agile robotics platforms. Paired with a dedicated 20A speed controller, it delivers efficient torque output and responsive speed transitions across its operating range. It is ideally suited to students, makers, and hobbyists building DIY quadcopters or experimental aerial systems.
Compact motor dimensions and mounting
Measuring 23 mm by 25.1 mm with a 16 g weight, the motor houses an 18 mm by 4 mm stator and an M5 threaded shaft. The secure thread design keeps propellers firmly seated during high-speed rotation on multi-axis drone frames.

Durable high-temperature construction
The motor integrates precision NSK bearings and oxygen-free copper windings capable of withstanding temperatures up to 220°C. Premium N40UH magnetic steel and 0.2 mm low iron-loss silicon steel laminations work together to optimise electromagnetic efficiency.
Dynamic balancing and hollow structure
A hollow structural design minimises overall mass while promoting airflow for effective thermal dissipation during extended flights. Each unit receives 100% dynamic balance calibration to reduce vibration and ensure smooth, stable rotation.
Dedicated 20A speed controller
The included brushless drive board handles 20A continuous current with 25A peak capability and supports 2S to 4S lithium battery inputs. Weighing 7.5 g and measuring 27 mm by 12 mm, this compact ESC operates without an internal BEC to keep weight minimal.

Versatile aerial and robotics applications
Rated for 2S to 3S lithium power supplies with a maximum continuous output of 55.5W and 5A, this counter-clockwise motor provides reliable propulsion for aerial photography rigs and DIY quadcopters. It is also well suited for maker projects and intelligent robotics requiring efficient rotary motion.
