Description
The 2804 3-Phase Brushless DC Motor is a compact, high-efficiency motor featuring an integrated AS5600 magnetic encoder with 12-bit precision. Operating at a rated 12V with 2600 RPM and 300 g.cm of torque, it is purpose-built for Field-Oriented Control (FOC) motion systems. It is an ideal choice for makers, students, and engineers developing camera gimbals, robotic joints, and self-balancing robots.
Integrated AS5600 magnetic encoder
A built-in AS5600 encoder provides 12-bit angular position feedback with 0.087-degree accuracy directly on the motor. It supports I2C, PWM, and analogue outputs at 3.3V over a GH1.25-4Pin connector, removing the need for separate encoder mounting and calibration.
Optimised for Field-Oriented Control
Featuring a 12N14P pole configuration and 220KV rating, the motor delivers exceptionally quiet, smooth torque and high energy efficiency when driven by FOC controllers. It integrates directly with the open-source SimpleFOC library across Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi platforms.
Compact hollow-shaft aluminium construction
Measuring only 34.5 mm in diameter and 19.5 mm in height, the motor is housed in a black anodised CNC aluminium frame with NdFeB magnets for effective heat dissipation. The 8 mm shaft includes a 5.4 mm to 6.5 mm hollow aperture for convenient internal wiring.
High-precision motion applications
Operating across a DC 7.4V to 16V input range, this motor delivers 300 g.cm (0.03 Nm) of torque for high-demand motion control. It is suited for stabilised camera gimbals, multi-axis robotic joints, haptic force-feedback devices, and balancing robotics platforms.
Complete wiring package
The motor is supplied ready for integration with an included MX1.25-4P to DuPont cable for the encoder interface and a standard 3-pin motor phase lead.
