High-torque metal gearbox

The motor features a 90:1 metal gearbox providing a no-load speed of 122 RPM and a high stall torque of 38 kg.cm. This provides ample power to drive heavier robot chassis and mechanical assemblies.

Integrated quadrature Hall encoder

An integrated 5V Hall encoder delivers 16 counts per revolution at the motor shaft, resulting in 1440 counts per revolution at the output shaft. This high-resolution feedback facilitates accurate speed sensing and closed-loop position control.

Standard D-shaped output shaft

The gearbox output shaft is D-shaped with a 6 mm diameter and a length of 0.61 inches. This flat-profile design ensures a solid grip for wheels, hubs, and shaft couplers without slippage.

Electrical operating characteristics

Operating primarily at 12V with a 350 mA no-load current and 7A stall current, the motor can also begin rotating at voltages as low as 1.0V. The assembly weighs 205 g and has an insulation resistance rating of 20 MΩ.

Face plate mounting guidelines

The front face includes six M3 threaded mounting holes arranged in a regular hexagon with 15.5 mm spacing between neighbouring centres. Screws must not be inserted deeper than 3 mm into the faceplate to prevent contact with the internal gears.
