The 12V Metal DC Geared Motor with Encoder is a robust, high-torque drive solution engineered for wheeled platforms and automation systems. Metal reduction gearbox

The 43.8:1 metal gearbox delivers a no-load speed of 251 RPM (plus or minus 10%) with a stall torque of 18 kg.cm. This sturdy gearing makes it well suited for carrying loads in demanding mobile robotics drivetrains.

Integrated quadrature encoder

A built-in 5V Hall-effect encoder provides 16 counts per revolution at the motor shaft, resulting in 700 counts per revolution at the gearbox output shaft. This allows your microcontroller to track position, speed, and direction with high accuracy.

D-shaped output shaft

The unit features a 6 mm (0.24 inch) diameter D-shaped output shaft with a length of 0.61 inches. This flat-sided profile provides a firm grip for wheels, pulleys, and couplers to prevent slippage under load.

Hexagonal faceplate mounting

The front face plate features six M3 threaded mounting holes evenly spaced in a regular hexagon, with 15.5 mm between neighbouring hole centres. Fasteners must not penetrate deeper than 3 mm (1/8 inch) into the mounting holes to avoid contacting internal gears.

Electrical operating parameters

While rated for 12V operation, the motor begins turning at voltages as low as 1.0V. It draws 350 mA under no load, up to 7A at stall, and weighs 205 g with an insulation resistance of 20 MΩ.
