Description
The ZM5202AE-CME3R is a fully integrated 868 MHz Z-Wave Sub-GHz wireless transceiver module based on the SD3502 SoC. Featuring an embedded microcontroller, built-in memory, and integrated RF matching, it enables robust short-range wireless communication. It is well suited for makers, students, and engineers prototyping connected home automation and IoT projects.
Integrated Z-Wave SoC architecture
The module combines an SD3502 Z-Wave SoC, embedded microcontroller, crystal oscillator, and passive RF matching components into a single package. With 128 KB of flash memory and 16 KB of SRAM, it is built for single-microcontroller standalone applications.
RF performance and frequency agility
Operating at 868 MHz with data rates up to 100 kbps, the transceiver features a receiver sensitivity of -103 dBm and a transmit power of +4 dBm. Hardware-assisted channel switching provides interference avoidance for dependable wireless transmission.
Interfaces and power efficiency
The module supports SPI, UART, USB, GPIO, and module-dependent PWM interfaces over an operating voltage of 2.3 V to 3.6 V. Designed with very low sleep current, it is optimised for energy efficiency in battery-powered devices.
