Description
The WHEELTEC Second-Order Self-Balancing Robot Kit is an advanced, open-source educational platform designed for control theory research and practical experimentation. It is ideal for university students, robotics educators, and advanced makers looking to master complex balancing algorithms.
Open-source second-order balancing platform
This kit supports advanced Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control algorithms to maintain stability on two wheels. The code is fully open-source, and the chassis can be optionally equipped with an N10 Lidar for advanced navigation and mapping.

Precision drive and feedback hardware
The robot is driven by MG513 metal gear reduction motors paired with high-precision 500-line AB-phase GMR encoders. It rides on 65mm blue rubber tyres, enabling a maximum payload capacity of 3kg despite its compact 1.1kg weight.

All-metal chassis and extended runtime
Built on an all-metal processed chassis bracket, the platform is powered by a 2550mAh E326S battery that delivers up to 20 hours of self-balancing endurance. The kit includes a protected lithium battery charger, an OLED display, and a dedicated angular displacement sensor as standard.

Simulink simulation and detailed tutorials
To bridge the gap between theory and practice, the platform fully supports Simulink simulation for algorithm development. Developers are supported by detailed documentation and comprehensive tutorials to streamline the learning process.
