The WHEELTEC S100 Differential Drive Service Robot is an open-source indoor mobile platform designed for advanced robotics research, education, and smart inspection applications. Equipped with high-performance brushless hub motors and a robust pendulum suspension, it provides a highly stable and customisable base for students, educators, and professional developers. With support for leading ROS controllers and depth sensors, this platform is ideal for mastering autonomous navigation and AI-driven service applications.
Advanced AI and multimodal interaction
The S100 (2.0) platform is designed to support AI multimodal large model interactions, making it an ideal choice for next-generation service robotics. It features a sleek physical design with an integrated display screen and supports optional automatic recharging capabilities.

Open source indoor navigation platform
This indoor service robot features a self-developed core chassis powered by quiet, high-performance brushless hub motors. It is equipped with a LeiShen TOF LiDAR and an Orbbec Astra series depth camera to facilitate smart inspection, scientific research, and academic teaching.

Robust hardware and technical specifications
Built on an STM32 robot control board, the chassis measures 437 by 347 by 274 mm, weighs approximately 28 kg, and supports payloads up to 60 kg. It is powered by a 24V 6000mAh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a light-load runtime of approximately 6.5 hours and a maximum speed of 2.4 m/s.

Flexible control and expandable interfaces
The platform supports multiple control methods including App, CAN, serial port, RS485, and multimodal smart controllers. Developers can choose from a range of ROS main controllers such as the RDK X5, Raspberry Pi 5, Huawei Ascend Atlas kit, or NVIDIA Orin series.
Precision motion and suspension system
The robot utilises a differential drive structure paired with a pendulum suspension system for stable indoor movement. It features WM050S brushless hub drive motors with 4096-line encoders and 2-inch omnidirectional driven wheels.
