Direct STM32 LiDAR connection
The B585 ROS platform features direct STM32 connection support for its onboard laser LiDAR, enabling high-speed data acquisition and processing. This streamlined hardware architecture simplifies the integration of advanced spatial mapping and obstacle avoidance algorithms. The kit also includes original, code-level video tutorials to help you get started quickly.

Robust all-metal construction
Built on an all-metal processed chassis, the vehicle weighs 1.2kg and measures 184.2mm by 64mm by 217.9mm. It rides on 65mm blue rubber tires and supports a maximum payload capacity of up to 4kg, making it highly expandable for extra sensors or hardware. Power is delivered by a 12V 5100mAh lithium battery with a protective shell, offering an impressive self-balancing endurance of up to 40 hours.

Precision feedback and control
The robot utilises a high-precision 500-line GMR encoder to provide accurate wheel-speed feedback for closed-loop control. It natively supports PID and LQR control algorithms, making it perfect for studying classic self-balancing dynamics. Additionally, support for Simulink simulation allows researchers and students to model and test control strategies virtually before deployment.
Integrated navigation and display
An N10 laser LiDAR and its dedicated mounting bracket come standard, providing 360-degree environmental scanning for SLAM applications. A standard onboard OLED display offers real-time system diagnostics and status monitoring directly on the vehicle. The package is completed with a 3C-certified 12.6V fast charger to minimise downtime between development sessions.
