WHEELTEC F570 Open Source Brushless Quadcopter

The WHEELTEC F570 is an open-source brushless quadcopter designed for researchers, developers, and hobbyists. Built on a lightweight carbon fibre frame, this versatile platform is ideal for exploring advanced flight control algorithms and autonomous navigation.

Open source flight control

The quadcopter features fully open-source flight control code and supports convenient Bluetooth wireless code uploading. It comes equipped with high-performance brushless motors and can be configured with an optical flow module for stable hovering.

LiDAR and optical flow integration

This platform supports an inverted STL-06NBJ LiDAR module alongside an optical flow sensor to enable advanced positioning and obstacle avoidance. The system arrives fully assembled and ready to fly out of the box.

Advanced PID and LQR control

Equipped with a high-strength carbon fibre frame, the F570 provides both PID and LQR control algorithms to ensure high stability and precision. It supports optical flow altitude hold and LiDAR-based obstacle avoidance and following using open-source, self-developed algorithms.

Comprehensive hardware specifications

Powered by an STM32F405RGT6 flight control chip and 1104 4300KV brushless motors, the quadcopter offers up to 60 minutes of flight time without LiDAR, or 25 minutes with LiDAR. It features a 12.6V 4500mAh protected battery, Type-C and Bluetooth programming interfaces, and supports Simulink simulation.
