W5100 R3 Ethernet Shield with Micro-SD Slot for Arduino

This Arduino-compatible Ethernet shield is based on the Wiznet W5100 chip to provide reliable wired network connectivity with full TCP and UDP support. It features an integrated micro-SD card slot and an RJ45 port, making it ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building networked microcontroller projects. Fully compatible with Uno and Mega boards, it enables sketches to transfer data and serve files over a local network.

Network performance

Powered by the Wiznet W5100 Ethernet chip, the shield features an integrated network IP stack supporting both TCP and UDP protocols. It supports up to four simultaneous socket connections using standard RJ45 cabling and the built-in Ethernet library.

Storage and R3 interface

An onboard micro-SD card slot allows you to store files for serving directly across the network using the standard SD library. The R3 design revision also exposes additional interface pins, including SCL, SDA, and IOREF.

Board compatibility and reset control

The shield is designed for use with Uno and Mega 2560 development boards. It incorporates a dedicated power-up reset controller to ensure the W5100 module initializes reliably, alongside a manual reset button.
