Description
The uHand2.0 is an open-source bionic mechanical hand designed for students, educators, and makers interested in advanced robotics programming. Compatible with Arduino and STM32 controllers, this versatile kit allows users to explore robotic control systems and hand kinematics. It is ideal for hands-on learning, prototyping, and classroom demonstrations in South African schools and universities.
Five-finger bionic design
The uHand2.0 features five independent fingers driven by LFD-01 anti-blocking servos, alongside a pan-tilt base powered by a 180-degree LD-1501 digital servo. This open-source platform comes complete with source code, controller schematics, and development tools to simplify custom programming.

Versatile control options
The robotic hand supports multiple control methods, including a wireless PS2 handle and receiver for real-time manual operation. Depending on your chosen controller setup, it can also support Bluetooth and somatosensory glove control.

Simple graphical programming
Action editing is made quick and accessible using the provided graphical PC software. This visual interface allows users to easily configure movements and sequence hand gestures without writing complex code from scratch.

Durable anti-blocking servos
The fingers are equipped with LFD-01 anti-blocking servos that protect the internal gears and motors from damage when encountering resistance. This protective feature ensures reliable operation during gripping tasks and prevents motor burnout.

Extended operational lifespan
Designed with upgraded components, the mechanical hand offers an improved working life suitable for repeated classroom use and long-term projects. The robust structural design ensures stability during continuous movement.

Compact physical dimensions
The precise physical layout and dimensions of the uHand2.0 make it a compact desktop companion for coding labs and maker spaces. Its scale is designed to mimic human hand proportions for realistic bionic simulation.

Robust structural design
Constructed with an acrylic bracket and a protective metal hand cover sheet, the uHand2.0 balances lightweight agility with structural strength. The base is reinforced with an LD-1501MG digital servo to handle rotational stress.

Open-source controller features
The dual-compatibility controller supports both Arduino and STM32 environments, providing a flexible foundation for learning embedded systems. It includes dedicated ports for servos, power input, and wireless communication modules.
