Track Map

The Track Map is a large, double-sided mat designed for testing and learning line-tracking robotics. It is suitable for students, educators, and hobbyists working with micro:bit Maqueen vehicles or other STEM robotics platforms.

Dual-sided learning layouts

The front of the map features a figure-eight elliptical path ideal for entry-level line-following algorithms. The reverse side provides a complex point-to-point network designed for advanced navigation challenges.

Dedicated sensor calibration zone

A built-in calibration area allows users to balance their line-tracking sensors accurately. Maqueen Lite (V4.1 and above) and Maqueen Plus robots can be calibrated directly on the map with a single key press.

Durable paper construction

Printed on 120g copper plate map paper, the surface is resilient and resistant to everyday wear during testing sessions. Its robust finish withstands regular robot passes in classroom and workshop environments.

Standardised track dimensions

Measuring 120cm by 90cm with a 2cm printed black line width, the map provides ample maneuvering space for robotic platforms. The line width conforms to common infrared line-tracking sensor spacing.

Broad robot compatibility

While tailored for micro:bit Maqueen platforms, the map works seamlessly with any line-following STEM robot kit. The high-contrast black paths provide reliable detection for standard optical sensors.
