Description
The Romeo ESP32-S3 is a comprehensive robotics development board designed for building intelligent 2WD and 4WD robotic platforms. Powered by a dual-core ESP32-S3 processor with onboard motor drivers and camera support, it is ideally suited for students, hobbyists, and robotics competition teams exploring FPV navigation and edge AI.
Integrated FPV camera and vision
An onboard DVP camera interface paired with an included camera module streams live first-person video to a phone or computer over Wi-Fi. Supporting resolutions up to 2048x1536 with an autonomous camera power circuit, it provides clear visual input for wireless driving and vision-based AI tasks.

High-performance ESP32-S3 processing
Featuring a dual-core 240MHz Xtensa LX7 processor with 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, the board delivers hardware vector acceleration for on-device neural network and signal processing workloads. Dual-mode 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 LE enable responsive wireless control, telemetry, and data transmission.

Extensive peripheral and sensor expansion
The board breaks out 27 digital I/O pins along with GDI display, MicroSD, I2C, UART, SPI, and I2S audio interfaces for adding microphones, speakers, and environmental sensors. A dedicated 5V power rail delivering up to 2A provides stable current for multi-servo assemblies such as robotic arms.

Broad development environment support
The board supports development in the Arduino IDE and Espressif ESP-IDF framework, as well as programming with C++ and MicroPython. This flexibility allows makers to deploy custom robotics code using their preferred development toolchains.

Four-channel integrated motor drive
An integrated four-channel H-bridge driver supplies up to 2.5A per channel, easily driving 2WD or 4WD chassis configurations. It accommodates motor power inputs from 5V to 24V and supports both PH/EN and PWM control modes.
