Description
This expansion shield is powered by an L293D dual H-bridge chip, designed specifically to fit the ESP-12E Dev Kit and NodeMCU boards. It allows you to directly drive two DC motors or one stepper motor over Wi-Fi, making it ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building connected robotics projects. The board also provides convenient breakouts for all essential development board pins alongside dedicated power inputs.
Dual motor control
Powered by the onboard L293D dual high-power H-bridge driver, this shield can control two independent DC motors or a single stepper motor. The control lines link directly to the development board pins for directional control and speed modulation via PWM.
Independent power management
The shield features separate power inputs for the motor drive (4.5V to 36V) and logic control circuitry (4.5V to 9V). An integrated onboard power switch allows for easy power management during prototyping and testing.
Versatile pin breakout
All functional pins from the ESP-12E kit are brought out, including SPI, UART, GPIO, analogue input, and 3.3V power rails. This makes it straightforward to interface additional modules such as temperature and humidity sensors, buzzers, relays, and light detectors.
