High-resolution imaging and HDR

Powered by a 12 MP back-illuminated and stacked Sony IMX708 sensor, the module delivers sharp photography and full HD video. It supports high signal-to-noise ratio output, 2D Dynamic Defect Pixel Correction, and an HDR mode up to 3 megapixels.

Wide-angle lens with rapid autofocus

The module features an ultra-wide 120-degree diagonal field of view combined with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). Focus control is supported directly within Raspberry Pi OS via the libcamera library, enabling smooth operation for both beginners and advanced users.

System compatibility and connectivity

The camera uses a CSI-2 serial data interface and includes a 200 mm 15-pin ribbon cable. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi computers, though Raspberry Pi 5 and supported Raspberry Pi Zero models require a different adapter cable sold separately.

Form factor and mounting

Measuring 25 by 24 by 12.4 mm, the module retains the same PCB size and mounting hole spacing as Camera Module 2 for straightforward physical integration.
