Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 NoIR Wide-Angle 12MP

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 NoIR Wide-Angle is an infrared-sensitive, 12-megapixel camera board featuring high dynamic range support and rapid phase detection autofocus. Designed without an infrared cut filter and offering an expansive 120-degree diagonal field of view, it is ideal for makers, students, and hobbyists building low-light vision, night-time wildlife, or robotics projects. It is fully supported by the libcamera library and compatible with all Raspberry Pi computers.

High-resolution imaging and night vision

Powered by a 12-megapixel Sony IMX708 stacked CMOS sensor, this camera delivers clear stills at 4608 by 2592 resolution and supports an HDR mode up to 3 megapixels. Because it is a NoIR variant without an infrared cut filter, it is capable of infrared and low-light imaging when paired with external IR illumination.

Wide-angle lens with rapid autofocus

The module integrates a wide-angle lens with a 120-degree diagonal field of view to capture expansive scenes. It also features built-in phase detection autofocus (PDAF) controlled over a 2-wire serial interface, ensuring sharp focus across varying distances.

Raspberry Pi compatibility and integration

The board connects using CSI-2 serial data output and includes a 200mm 15-pin FPC ribbon cable for direct connection to Raspberry Pi computers. It shares the same PCB size and mounting hole layout as Camera Module 2 for straightforward mounting in existing hardware setups.
